This is a lovely antique cotton nightgown featuring a touch of embroidery and cutwork under the scallop edged sweetheart neckline.  The piece is sleeveless and does up at each shoulder with a thread covered button (see last close-up photo).  Otherwise, the piece is simple in construction, cut with a flare to the hemline.  There are no openings other than the top and bottom so this would have to slip over your head.

Sizing:  No size is indicated, and although it should fit a large size, please note the following measurements for fit, keeping the style and cut of the garment in mind (please measure your body or a similar garment that you own):

Bust: 42” around, taken at the arm openings

Waist: 44” around, meant to fall loosely

Hips: 52” around, meant to fall loosely

Overall length: 46" measured flat

Condition:  This nightie is in very good condition with no wear or tear or odors or stains - well preserved piece.

This is a lovely old nightie made of very nice quality cotton - could make a great summer dress!
